Steve Martin's Second Career

I was surprised to see Steve Martin performing on the banjo with Earl Scruggs. If Steve Martin's comedy career even starts to flag, he can fall back on music. Nice to have some skills in reserve. Not that this guy particularly needs reserve skills.

I guess I missed a lot about the popular culture going without a television set for a few years, then ignoring TV most of the time thereafter.

Tribute to Earl, on the Grand Ole Opry.

Here, Steve plays with the Muppets.

Here, solo. Loch Lomond, Sally Anne and Simple Gifts (doesn't sound quite like a Shaker song when he plays it). He's good.

And he has written some pieces, too. Nice.
